Why the name change? The club was started around 1982 by Randy and Kathy step before they founded the "Running Fit" chain. The first members were predominately from Redford and over the years memebers gradually moved to the Plymouth-Canton and Northville-Novi area. So, in the new millennium, we moved the running venue to Northville and in 2005 changed the name to the Northville Road Runners.

The Northville Road Runners are a diverse group of runners and walkers. Members' ages and abilities span the continuum. They are committed to giving back to the community by supporting local races, maintaining Maybury State Park through actions and our annual run "The Classic" which benefits the Friends of Maybury.
